Who we are
Calgary Contents Ltd. (“Calgary Contents”, “we”) is a contents restoration company at Unit 145, 1610 104 Avenue NE, Calgary, Alberta T3J 0T5. This policy explains how we collect, use and protect personal information, in line with Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and, where it applies, the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
What we collect
When you contact us by phone, email or our contact form, we collect the details you give us, such as your name, email address, phone number, address, postal code and information about your loss or inquiry.
When we work on a loss, we also collect information needed to deliver our services and support your claim, such as your insurer, claim number, adjuster and contractor contacts, and an inventory of your contents, including photographs.
When you visit our website, we collect technical information such as your device, browser and the pages you view, through the tools described below.
How we use it
We use personal information to respond to your inquiries, provide our services, coordinate with your insurer, adjuster and contractor, invoice for our work, improve our website and meet our legal obligations.
When we share it
We share personal information with your insurer, adjuster and restoration contractor where needed to deliver our services and process your claim, with service providers who host our website and deliver our email on our behalf, and where the law requires it. We do not sell personal information.
Website tools and cookies
Our website uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, Google reCAPTCHA to protect our forms from spam, embedded Google Maps and YouTube content, and a widget that displays our Google reviews. These services may set cookies and process data under their own privacy policies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
Storage and security
We protect personal information with reasonable physical, administrative and technical safeguards, and keep it only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as required by law. Some of our service providers may store or process information outside Alberta or Canada.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you, or withdraw your consent to its use, subject to legal and contractual limits. Withdrawing consent may affect our ability to provide services.
